Education and Training

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with advanced training in OCD and anxiety treatment. I hold a Master’s of Education in School Counseling from Northeastern State University, where I combined advocacy and clinical practice by presenting on counselling strategies for LGBTQ+ students. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University, double majoring in Anthropology and Women and Gender Studies with a minor in Psychology.

I am a graduate of the International OCD Foundation’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (IOCDF BTTI) and have received consultation from members of the IOCDF’s Scientific Advisory Board, strengthening my expertise in evidence-based treatment for OCD. My clinical experience includes working at NOCD, a leading organization in OCD treatment, where I provided specialized care for individuals struggling with obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety-related challenges.

Additionally, I completed trainings in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) from renowned experts Dr. Steven Hayes and Dr. Russ Harris, further enhancing my ability to integrate mindfulness, values-based action, and psychological flexibility into therapy. My academic background, professional training, and commitment to evidence-based care equip me with the tools to help clients build resilience, regain control, and move forward with confidence.
